Meta has unveiled the Muse Charm, a keychain-sized AI agent designed to perform everyday tasks autonomously by connecting to users' apps and services. Unlike older digital pets, this agent aims to operate without constant user input. OpenAI has introduced Dots, and xAI is developing Grok Bot, both designed to work across applications and pursue goals independently. These always-on AI agents run on cloud servers and learn user preferences over time, requiring approval only for sensitive actions. Companies like Google and Microsoft are also developing similar AI agents for workplace integration.
