Thai National Convicted in India Arms Case

Thai national Willy Naru has been convicted by a Delhi court for conspiring to procure sophisticated arms and ammunition from China for the Naga insurgent group NSCN (IM). Naru is the first Thai citizen to be extradited to India. Evidence, including his meetings and foreign travel, established his involvement in the alleged arms procurement network. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) registered the case in December 2020, leading to this conviction under the Indian Penal Code and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. Arguments on sentencing are scheduled for September 29.

थाई नागरिक भारत हथियार मामले में दोषी करार

दिल्ली की एक अदालत ने थाईलैंड के विली नारू को NSCN (IM) के लिए चीन से हथियार और गोला-बारूद की खरीद की साजिश रचने का दोषी ठहराया है। नारू भारत प्रत्यर्पित होने वाले पहले थाई नागरिक हैं। सबूतों से उनकी संलिप्तता साबित हुई। NIA ने 2020 में मामला दर्ज किया था। सजा पर सुनवाई 29 सितंबर को होगी।
