ASI Murder Suspect Shot Dead In Police Encounter

Amritsar Police shot dead Deepak Singh, an alleged suspect in the murder of on-duty ASI Harjeet Singh, during a police encounter on Saturday night. Singh was identified through CCTV footage and technical inputs. He was allegedly involved in an exchange of fire with police. ASI Harjeet Singh was killed. The police seized a pistol and other items allegedly used in the crime. An investigation is ongoing to apprehend the other accused.

अमृतसर पुलिस ने शनिवार रात एक एनकाउंटर में दीपक सिंह नाम के एक संदिग्ध को मार गिराया। दीपक पर ऑन-ड्यूटी ASI हरजीत सिंह की हत्या का आरोप था। CCTV फुटेज और तकनीकी जानकारी से उसकी पहचान हुई थी। पुलिस का कहना है कि दीपक ने पुलिस पर फायरिंग की थी। ASI हरजीत सिंह की मौत हो गई थी। पुलिस ने अपराध में इस्तेमाल की गई पिस्तौल और अन्य सामान बरामद किए हैं। बाकी आरोपियों की तलाश जारी है।
