Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has accepted Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav's challenge to contest elections from Ayodhya. Adityanath stated that he would contest from Ayodhya if Yadav also files his nomination from the holy city, suggesting they test their luck. Yadav had earlier advised the CM to contest from Ayodhya in the 2027 assembly elections if he was confident of public support. He clarified this was political advice, not a challenge, and criticized alleged discrimination against Ayodhya residents regarding land acquisition and compensation.

उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने समाजवादी पार्टी के प्रमुख अखिलेश यादव की अयोध्या से चुनाव लड़ने की चुनौती स्वीकार कर ली है। आदित्यनाथ ने कहा कि अगर यादव भी पवित्र शहर से अपना नामांकन दाखिल करते हैं तो वह अयोध्या से चुनाव लड़ेंगे, जिससे वे अपनी किस्मत आजमा सकें। यादव ने पहले सीएम को सलाह दी थी कि यदि वे जनता के समर्थन को लेकर आश्वस्त हैं तो 2027 के विधानसभा चुनावों में अयोध्या से चुनाव लड़ें। उन्होंने स्पष्ट किया कि यह एक राजनीतिक सलाह थी, कोई चुनौती नहीं, और भूमि अधिग्रहण और मुआवजे के संबंध में अयोध्या के निवासियों के साथ कथित भेदभाव की आलोचना की।
