Seventeen-year-old Kumkum Mohod has made history by winning the women's individual recurve gold at the Asian Games 2026, defeating South Korea's Oh Yejin in the final. This victory ends South Korea's long-standing dominance in the event and secures an Olympic quota place for India at the Los Angeles 2028 Games. Mohod, who had visualized this win for a year, also secured a gold in the women's team event and a silver in the mixed team event, finishing with three medals.
