Baguiati Rail Pukur United Club has inaugurated its 73rd Durga Puja with a unique pandal themed ‘Collage’. Artist Somnath Tamli conceptualised the design, which uses thousands of kilograms of recycled newspapers to blend mythology, Bengal's cultural heritage, and evolving communication methods. The installation pays tribute to prominent figures like Rabindranath Tagore and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, while also depicting the traditional newspaper distribution system. This creative approach reflects on the shift from print to digital media and emphasizes the importance of sustainability and collective contributions.
