Bengaluru-based specialty chemicals company altM has successfully raised $10.3 million in its Series A funding round, attracting investment from Rainmatter by Zerodha and Mela Ventures, alongside existing investors. The capital infusion will fuel the expansion of altM's manufacturing capabilities, bolster its research and development efforts, and enhance customer qualification programs. Founded in 2022, altM is pioneering a platform to transform agricultural residue into high-performance industrial chemicals. This innovative approach aims to create sustainable alternatives to fossil-derived inputs across various sectors, including beauty, textiles, and construction.
