Shreyas Iyer attributed his match-winning century against West Indies to a conversation with former Indian coach Abhishek Nayar. Iyer revealed that during his time in Japan, he discussed his batting struggles with Nayar, which led to significant improvements. Nayar confirmed they worked on Iyer's grip, stance, and strategic approach against certain bowlers. Nayar has previously mentored other prominent Indian cricketers like Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul. This collaboration helped Iyer overcome a form slump and deliver a crucial performance for the team.
