Delhi's air quality significantly worsened on Friday, with the overall Air Quality Index (AQI) reaching 389 in the ‘very poor’ category. Several areas, including IIT Delhi and Rohini, reported AQI levels in the ‘severe’ category, exceeding 470. Residents expressed discomfort due to breathing difficulties and eye irritation caused by the smog. Officials also pointed to stubble burning in Punjab as a major contributor to the deteriorating air.
