12 AAP MLAs Apologise to Akal Takht Jathedar Over Colleague's Caste Remarks

Twelve Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs appeared before the Akal Takht acting jathedar to submit a written apology and distance themselves from party colleague Manwinder Singh Giaspura's controversial caste-bias allegations. Giaspura was denied entry to the Akal Takht secretariat and later claimed exclusion due to his Dalit identity, making derogatory comments. The MLAs acknowledged their failure to clarify to the media that no discrimination occurred and Giaspura's remarks were inappropriate.

बारह आम आदमी पार्टी (AAP) के विधायकों ने पार्टी के साथी मनविंदर सिंह गियासपुरा के जातिगत पूर्वाग्रहों के विवादास्पद आरोपों से खुद को अलग करने और लिखित माफी सौंपने के लिए अकाल तख्त के कार्यकारी जत्थेदार के सामने पेश हुए। गियासपुरा को अकाल तख्त सचिवालय में प्रवेश से मना कर दिया गया था और बाद में उन्होंने अपनी दलित पहचान के कारण बहिष्कृत किए जाने का दावा किया, साथ ही अपमानजनक टिप्पणियां कीं। विधायकों ने मीडिया को यह स्पष्ट करने में अपनी विफलता स्वीकार की कि कोई भेदभाव नहीं हुआ और गियासपुरा की टिप्पणियां अनुचित थीं।
