Man Acquitted After 20 Years Due to Probe

A man accused in a 20-year-old murder case has been acquitted by an additional sessions court in Ghaziabad. The court cited negligence in the police investigation and incomplete examination of eyewitnesses as reasons for the acquittal. The incident occurred, when the accused allegedly forced the victim to consume poison. The post-mortem examination could not ascertain the cause of death, and crucial viscera samples were never sent for laboratory.

गाजियाबाद की एक अदालत ने 20 साल पुराने हत्या के मामले में एक आदमी को बरी कर दिया है। कोर्ट ने पुलिस की जांच में लापरवाही और गवाहों के अधूरे बयान को वजह बताया। आरोप था कि आदमी ने पीड़ित को ज़हर पीने को मजबूर किया था। पोस्टमॉर्टम से मौत की वजह साफ नहीं हो पाई और ज़रूरी सैंपल लैब भेजे ही नहीं गए थे।
