Delhi Metro Shuts 11 Stations Ahead of Jantar Mantar Protest Over Election Commission

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has closed entry and exit at 11 metro stations until further notice due to security concerns surrounding planned protests at Jantar Mantar. The All India Students’ Association and the Aam Aadmi Party are organizing demonstrations to protest the functioning of the Election Commission. Delhi Police has stated that no permission has been granted for these protests, despite increased security in central Delhi. Commuters are advised to use alternative stations and modes of transport to reach their destinations.

दिल्ली मेट्रो रेल कॉर्पोरेशन ने जंतर मंतर पर नियोजित विरोध प्रदर्शनों के मद्देनजर सुरक्षा चिंताओं के कारण 11 मेट्रो स्टेशनों पर प्रवेश और निकास अगले आदेश तक बंद कर दिया है। ऑल इंडिया स्टूडेंट्स’ एसोसिएशन और आम आदमी पार्टी चुनाव आयोग के कामकाज के विरोध में प्रदर्शन आयोजित कर रहे हैं। दिल्ली पुलिस ने कहा है कि केंद्रीय दिल्ली में सुरक्षा बढ़ाए जाने के बावजूद इन विरोध प्रदर्शनों की कोई अनुमति नहीं दी गई है। यात्रियों को अपने गंतव्यों तक पहुंचने के लिए वैकल्पिक स्टेशनों और परिवहन के साधनों का उपयोग करने की सलाह दी जाती है।
