Uttarakhand Roadways Staff End 2-Day Strike After Salary Talks

Contractual employees of Uttarakhand Transport Corporation (UTC) have called off their two-day strike and deferred further agitation until December 1. This decision follows successful talks with the transport minister regarding three months of unpaid salaries. An agreement was reached for August salaries and Diwali bonus to be paid by November 4, and September salaries by the end of November. Bus services have begun resuming, bringing relief to passengers during the festive season. The strike had disrupted operations and caused significant financial losses.

उत्तराखंड परिवहन निगम (UTC) के संविदा कर्मचारियों ने अपनी दो दिन की हड़ताल खत्म कर दी है और आगे का आंदोलन 1 दिसंबर तक टाल दिया है। यह फैसला तीन महीने के अवैतनिक वेतन के संबंध में परिवहन मंत्री के साथ सफल बातचीत के बाद आया है। अगस्त के वेतन और दिवाली बोनस का भुगतान 4 नवंबर तक और सितंबर के वेतन का भुगतान नवंबर के अंत तक करने पर सहमति बनी है। बसों की सेवाएं फिर से शुरू हो गई हैं, जिससे त्योहारी सीजन में यात्रियों को राहत मिली है। हड़ताल से संचालन बाधित हुआ था और काफी वित्तीय नुकसान हुआ था।
