BJP MP Dips in Yamuna, Claims Pollution Halved; AAP Disputes

BJP MP Manoj Tiwari took a dip in the Yamuna River, claiming its pollution load has reduced by half in the past year due to government cleaning efforts. He invited devotees to celebrate Chhath Puja in the river, citing the presence of migratory birds as proof of improvement. However, AAP Delhi president Saurabh Bharadwaj disputed the claims, stating the Palla to Wazirabad stretch has always been relatively clean and was cleaner during AAP's tenure. Bharadwaj challenged Tiwari to drink water from the more polluted Kalindi Kunj ghat.

बीजेपी सांसद मनोज तिवारी ने यमुना नदी में डुबकी लगाई और दावा किया कि सरकारी सफाई प्रयासों के कारण पिछले एक साल में प्रदूषण का स्तर आधा हो गया है। उन्होंने श्रद्धालुओं को छठ पूजा नदी में मनाने के लिए आमंत्रित किया और प्रवासी पक्षियों की मौजूदगी को सुधार का सबूत बताया। हालांकि, आप दिल्ली के अध्यक्ष सौरभ भारद्वाज ने दावों पर विवाद किया और कहा कि पल्ला से वजीराबाद तक का हिस्सा हमेशा से अपेक्षाकृत साफ रहा है और आप के कार्यकाल में यह और भी साफ था। भारद्वाज ने तिवारी को कलिंदी कुंज घाट से अधिक प्रदूषित पानी पीने की चुनौती दी।
