बिहार के राज्यपाल राजेंद्र विश्वनाथ आर्लेकर और पूर्व केंद्रीय मंत्री विजय कुमार सिंह ने लोगों से जनगणना में बढ़-चढ़कर हिस्सा लेने की अपील की है। उन्होंने कहा कि सही डेटा इकट्ठा होना अच्छी नीतियां बनाने और संसाधनों के सही बँटवारे के लिए बहुत ज़रूरी है। जनगणना से सरकार को योजना बनाने में मदद मिलती है, ताकि विकास के काम समाज के हर वर्ग तक पहुँचें और देश की ज़रूरतों को पूरा किया जा सके।
