Delhi Bar Body Urges Exemption From BS-VI Ban For Advocates, Judges
Hindustan Times · environment
The Delhi High Court Bar Association (DHCBA) has appealed to the Lieutenant Governor and the acting Chief Justice to exempt advocates, judges, and court staff from the upcoming BS-VI vehicle ban in Delhi. The association highlighted that many legal professionals commute from neighbouring states due to high housing costs in the capital. They argue that these individuals provide an essential service and should be exempt from the restrictions aimed at curbing pollution. The ban, part of the Graded Response Action Plan, is set to take effect soon.
