The DMK has filed a petition in the Supreme Court demanding immediate release of Cauvery water from Karnataka to Tamil Nadu. The plea seeks Karnataka to release 3,500 cusecs daily for fifteen days and clear a shortfall of 9.46 TMC. डीएमके ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट में याचिका दायर की है। वे चाहते हैं कि कर्नाटक तमिलनाडु को कावेरी का पानी तुरंत छोड़े। याचिका में कहा गया है कि कर्नाटक 15 दिनों तक हर दिन 3,500 क्यूसेक पानी दे और 9.46 टीएमसी की कमी पूरी करे। कर्नाटक के मुख्यमंत्री ने प्रदर्शनकारियों से आंदोलन खत्म करने की अपील की है। उन्होंने भरोसा दिलाया है कि किसानों के हितों की रक्षा की जाएगी और कोर्ट के आदेशों का पालन होगा।
