Bhubaneswar Embraces Green Immersion For Durga Idols

Bhubaneswar concluded its Durga Puja celebrations with eco-friendly idol immersions in artificial ponds on Thursday. The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation established four temporary ponds on sandy riverbeds to prevent pollution of natural water bodies. Thousands witnessed the colourful processions, with nearly 350 puja pandals participating across the city. Police deployed 48 platoons to manage law and order, ensuring smooth traffic flow and preventing overcrowding at the immersion sites. Traditional music and unique tableaux, like a burning train replica, marked the festivities.

गुरुवार को भुवनेश्वर ने कृत्रिम तालाबों में पर्यावरण-अनुकूल मूर्तियों के विसर्जन के साथ अपने दुर्गा पूजा उत्सव का समापन किया। भुवनेश्वर नगर निगम ने प्राकृतिक जल निकायों के प्रदूषण को रोकने के लिए रेतीले नदी तल पर चार अस्थायी तालाब स्थापित किए। हजारों लोगों ने रंगीन जुलूस देखे, जिसमें शहर भर के लगभग 350 पूजा पंडालों ने भाग लिया। पुलिस ने कानून व्यवस्था बनाए रखने, सुचारू यातायात प्रवाह सुनिश्चित करने और विसर्जन स्थलों पर भीड़भाड़ को रोकने के लिए 48 प्लाटून तैनात कीं। पारंपरिक संगीत और जलती हुई ट्रेन की प्रतिकृति जैसे अनूठे झांकियों ने उत्सवों को चिह्नित किया।
