A head constable in Mansa, Punjab, allegedly shot his family on Tuesday morning, killing his elder son and critically injuring his wife and younger son before taking his own life. The incident occurred just hours before Union Home Minister Amit Shah's scheduled visit to the town. Neighbours reported hearing gunshots from the constable's newly built home around 7 am. Police recovered the service weapon used in the shooting, and a family dispute is believed to be the motive.
