Leader of the Opposition R. Ashok has alleged irregularities in waste management tenders floated by the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA). He claims a ₹133-crore tender was awarded to a private company that did not meet eligibility criteria, citing a turnover of ₹3.34 crore against the required ₹10 crore. Ashok also stated that significant security deposits were waived and additional deposits were not collected. He demanded a high-level probe by the Lokayukta or a similar agency and plans to urge the Chief Minister to cancel the tender.

विपक्ष के नेता आर. अशोक ने ग्रेटर बेंगलुरु अथॉरिटी (GBA) द्वारा जारी किए गए कचरा प्रबंधन टेंडरों में अनियमितताओं का आरोप लगाया है। उनका दावा है कि ₹133 करोड़ का एक टेंडर एक निजी कंपनी को दिया गया, जो पात्रता मानदंडों को पूरा नहीं करती थी, क्योंकि उसका टर्नओवर ₹10 करोड़ के मुकाबले सिर्फ ₹3.34 करोड़ था। अशोक ने यह भी कहा कि महत्वपूर्ण सुरक्षा जमा राशि माफ कर दी गई और अतिरिक्त जमा राशि एकत्र नहीं की गई। उन्होंने लोकायुक्त या इसी तरह की एजेंसी से उच्च-स्तरीय जांच की मांग की है और मुख्यमंत्री से टेंडर रद्द करने का आग्रह करने की योजना बनाई है।
