Rahuri police in Ahilyanagar have arrested a 40-year-old woman for allegedly orchestrating a marriage fraud racket. She is accused of collecting Rs 4 lakh from two families each, promising brides for their sons. In both instances, the brides reportedly fled within days, leaving the families defrauded. The accused, along with seven others, faces charges under BNS Sections 318(4) and 3(5). The victims initially searched for the woman before handing her over to the police, leading to her three-day custody. Investigations suggest all involved hail from Nanded.

अहिल्यानगर के राहूरी पुलिस ने एक 40 वर्षीय महिला को कथित तौर पर एक शादी धोखाधड़ी रैकेट चलाने के आरोप में गिरफ्तार किया है। उस पर अपने बेटों के लिए दुल्हन का वादा करके दो परिवारों से प्रत्येक से 4 लाख रुपये इकट्ठा करने का आरोप है। दोनों ही मामलों में, कथित तौर पर दुल्हन कुछ ही दिनों में भाग गईं, जिससे परिवार ठगे गए। आरोपी पर सात अन्य लोगों के साथ BNS की धारा 318(4) और 3(5) के तहत आरोप लगाए गए हैं। पीड़ितों ने पहले महिला की तलाश की और फिर उसे पुलिस को सौंप दिया, जिसके बाद उसे तीन दिन की हिरासत में भेज दिया गया।
