Ghana Puddle Inspires Solar Water Project Success

In 2015, Sunil Lalvani was inspired to act after seeing children drink from a puddle in Ghana. He then established Project Maji, initially as a corporate social responsibility initiative, deploying the first solar-powered water kiosk. Ten years later, the project has significantly expanded its reach. Project Maji reports supplying 126 million litres of clean water to over 380,000 people across various communities. The organization's work now extends beyond Ghana, utilizing solar-powered technology to provide continuous access to safe drinking water in rural areas.
