Woman Dies After Childbirth; Family Alleges Medical Negligence in Supaul

A 25-year-old woman, Chandni Kumari, died shortly after delivering a baby at a private clinic in Supaul district on Saturday. Her family has alleged medical negligence, claiming her condition worsened despite treatment and blood transfusions for anaemia. They staged a protest by blocking a road with her body for four hours, demanding a magistrate's visit. The clinic was subsequently sealed by authorities, and six other patients were transferred to Sadar Hospital. An investigation into the family's written complaint has been assured.

सुपौल जिले के एक निजी क्लिनिक में शनिवार को बच्चे को जन्म देने के कुछ ही देर बाद 25 वर्षीय चांदनी कुमारी की मौत हो गई। परिवार ने मेडिकल लापरवाही का आरोप लगाया है, उनका कहना है कि एनीमिया के लिए इलाज और खून चढ़ाने के बावजूद उसकी हालत बिगड़ गई। उन्होंने मजिस्ट्रेट के दौरे की मांग करते हुए चार घंटे तक उसके शव के साथ सड़क जाम कर विरोध प्रदर्शन किया। बाद में अधिकारियों ने क्लिनिक को सील कर दिया और छह अन्य मरीजों को सदर अस्पताल में शिफ्ट कर दिया गया। परिवार की लिखित शिकायत की जांच का आश्वासन दिया गया है।
