Over 300 trucks carrying raw petroleum coke are reportedly stranded at the Assam-West Bengal border, according to the Andhra Pradesh Lorry Owners’ Association. The association has urged the Union Finance Ministry and CBIC to intervene, stating that consignments are being prevented from proceeding despite GST compliance. Many trucks are destined for Visakhapatnam, with others headed to various locations across West Bengal, Bihar, and Odisha. This detention has caused significant financial losses for transport operators and hardship for drivers, with some owners reporting losses of over ₹2 lakh per vehicle.
