Manish Pandey Returns to Karnataka Squad After Two Years for SMAT

Veteran batter Manish Pandey has been included in the list of probables for the upcoming Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, nearly two years after his last appearance for Karnataka. The former captain was eased out of the squad in December 2024. The selection committee chairman cited the need for experience and batting strength, noting Pandey's fitness and motivation ahead of the IPL auction. Pandey captained Karnataka to back-to-back Mushtaq Ali titles in 2018-19 and 2019-20. Karnataka's campaign begins on November 14 against Bengal.
