The Thiruvananthapuram Corporation has suspended bill collector Anto Joseph C J for allegedly creating fake receipts and committing revenue collection irregularities. A preliminary inquiry found evidence of fabricated receipts in edited PDF format, suspected to have been created using PDF editing software. The suspension, issued by Mayor V V Rajesh, is effective immediately pending a detailed inquiry under the Kerala Municipality Rules. Joseph will receive subsistence allowance during this period. This action follows a report submitted by the senior technical officer.
