Hazaribag Police Seize 375 Litres of Country Liquor in Pre-Puja Crackdown

Hazaribag Police conducted a district-wide crackdown on illegal liquor early Sunday, deploying 28 teams comprising 198 officers to raid 68 suspected locations. During the operation, authorities seized 375 litres of country liquor and destroyed 303.2 quintals of 'java mahua', a key ingredient for illicit brews. This extensive drive aims to ensure law and order and bolster security measures across the district during the upcoming Durga Puja celebrations. Police have stated that strict actions against illegal liquor manufacturing and sales will persist.

हज़ारीबाग पुलिस ने रविवार की सुबह पूरे ज़िले में अवैध शराब के खिलाफ बड़ी कार्रवाई की। इसके लिए 28 टीमों में 198 अधिकारी तैनात किए गए थे और 68 संदिग्ध जगहों पर छापेमारी की गई। इस दौरान, अधिकारियों ने 375 लीटर देसी शराब ज़ब्त की और अवैध शराब बनाने के मुख्य सामग्री 'जावा महुआ' के 303.2 क्विंटल को नष्ट किया। इस बड़े अभियान का मकसद आने वाले दुर्गा पूजा उत्सव के दौरान ज़िले में कानून व्यवस्था बनाए रखना और सुरक्षा उपायों को मज़बूत करना है। पुलिस ने कहा है कि अवैध शराब बनाने और बेचने वालों के खिलाफ सख़्त कार्रवाई जारी रहेगी।
