Serum Institute Partners For New TB Vaccine

Serum Institute of India (SII) has partnered with Gates Medical Research Institute (Gates MRI) to develop a novel tuberculosis vaccine. This collaboration aims to accelerate access to a potentially life-saving jab for countries with a high TB burden, like India. The last TB vaccine was developed over a century ago, highlighting the urgent need for new preventive measures against the deadly disease.

सीरम इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ इंडिया (SII) ने एक नई टीबी वैक्सीन बनाने के लिए गेट्स मेडिकल रिसर्च इंस्टीट्यूट (Gates MRI) के साथ हाथ मिलाया है। इस साझेदारी का मकसद उन देशों में, जैसे भारत, जहाँ टीबी का बोझ ज़्यादा है, जीवन रक्षक वैक्सीन को तेज़ी से पहुँचाना है। पिछली टीबी वैक्सीन सौ साल से भी पहले बनी थी, जो इस जानलेवा बीमारी से बचाव के नए तरीकों की ज़रूरत बताती है।
