US President Donald Trump has endorsed Republican Vivek Ramaswamy's controversial attack advertisement against Democratic rival Amy Acton. The ad features Acton's estranged mother, Donna Arthur, disputing her daughter's claims of childhood abuse and homelessness. Trump stated that such a maternal statement should disqualify Acton from office. Ohio Governor Mike DeWine urged Ramaswamy to withdraw the ad, calling it "wrong" and painful for rape victims. Ramaswamy's campaign is spending $4 million to promote the advertisement amid a tight race.
