Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi requesting a change in the operator of Chennai airport. The state government expressed dissatisfaction with the current management by the Airports Authority of India (AAI). Citing the need for better airport management to support industry and investment, the letter highlights that Chennai airport requires significant improvement in passenger volume, aircraft movement, and cargo handling.
