Kerala Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala assured the state assembly that strict action would be taken against the accused in a Mini Cooper crash that killed three youngsters. The opposition had raised concerns over alleged delays in registering the FIR and arresting the driver. Three individuals, around 21 years old, died when a speeding Mini Cooper allegedly driven by an intoxicated youth hit their scooter. The minister stated that legal provisions, including those related to driving under the influence, have been invoked, and the driver's license will be cancelled.

केरल के गृह मंत्री रमेश चेन्निथला ने राज्य विधानसभा को आश्वासन दिया कि मिनी कूपर दुर्घटना में तीन युवकों की मौत के मामले में आरोपियों के खिलाफ सख्त कार्रवाई की जाएगी। विपक्ष ने एफआईआर दर्ज करने और ड्राइवर की गिरफ्तारी में कथित देरी पर चिंता जताई थी। तेज रफ्तार मिनी कूपर, जिसे कथित तौर पर नशे में धुत एक युवक चला रहा था, ने उनके स्कूटर को टक्कर मार दी, जिससे लगभग 21 साल के तीन लोगों की मौत हो गई। मंत्री ने कहा कि नशे में ड्राइविंग से संबंधित प्रावधानों सहित कानूनी प्रावधानों को लागू किया गया है, और ड्राइवर का लाइसेंस रद्द कर दिया जाएगा।
