राज्य सरकार की मंजूरी के बाद इडुक्की के सरकारी इंजीनियरिंग कॉलेज में एक नया रिसर्च स्टेशन स्थापित किया जा रहा है, ताकि बागान क्षेत्र की उत्पादकता बढ़ाई जा सके। इस पहल का उद्देश्य AI, IoT, रोबोटिक्स और ड्रोन जैसी नवीन तकनीकों को एकीकृत करना है, ताकि मजदूरों की कमी, उच्च लागत और जलवायु परिवर्तन जैसी गंभीर चुनौतियों का समाधान किया जा सके। यह केंद्र स्मार्ट सिंचाई और रोबोटिक हार्वेस्टिंग सिस्टम सहित बागान फसलों के लिए लागत प्रभावी ऑटोमेशन टूल विकसित करेगा।
