Election Commission Caps Form 7 Submissions By Individual Voters
The Hindu · india
The Election Commission of India has set limits on the number of Form 7 applications an individual voter can submit. An elector can now file a maximum of 10 applications during the claims and objections period and five per month during continuous updation of electoral rolls. This move aims to curb bulk unsubstantiated applications seeking deletion of voter names, which inconvenience voters and increase the workload on election officials. Previously, there was no limit on physical Form 7 submissions by individuals.
