Oracle Data Center Debt Faces Pressure

Approximately $18 billion in loans for an Oracle-leased data center in New Mexico are under pressure, with banks quoting them at 89 to 91 cents on the dollar. Concerns over local opposition regarding water and air quality, coupled with Oracle's rising borrowing and weakening creditworthiness, have stalled efforts to sell the debt. Oracle's corporate credit rating is one notch above junk following an S&P downgrade.
