Cyclone Arnab has made landfall in Andhra Pradesh, causing significant destruction and claiming at least five lives. Strong winds reaching 120 kmph and high tidal waves have led to a cargo ship getting stranded near Antarvedi. The cyclone has submerged over 70,000 hectares of agricultural land and affected horticultural crops, homes, roads, and power infrastructure. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has requested central assistance from Home Minister Amit Shah to assess the damage and provide financial aid for relief and rehabilitation efforts.
