Contractor Blames GCDA For Flat Complex Flaws

The contractor for the Mundamveli Life Mission flat complex has blamed the Greater Cochin Development Authority (GCDA) for severe structural flaws. The contractor, TDLCCS, stated that the original financial estimate was reduced and the project plan was altered at the instance of a former GCDA chairperson. TDLCCS claims they suffered significant losses and are being unfairly scapegoated for administrative errors and design oversights. Residents have faced constant issues like leaking ceilings and damp walls since moving in early 2024, with an IIT Madras evaluation confirming major flaws.
