BMC to Decide on Dia Mirza Video Clip Deletion, Says CM Fadnavis

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis stated that the BMC has the final say on whether to retain or delete actor Dia Mirza's video clip. He clarified that the issue is not at the state government's level, as BMC manages its own social media. The Bombay High Court had previously called for the restoration of the video. Mumbai BJP chief Ameet Satam asserted that objections were not based on religion but on associations with 'anti-national elements'.

महाराष्ट्र के मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस ने कहा कि एक्टर दिया मिर्जा के वीडियो क्लिप को रखने या हटाने का अंतिम फैसला बीएमसी का होगा। उन्होंने साफ किया कि यह मामला राज्य सरकार के स्तर पर नहीं है, क्योंकि बीएमसी अपने सोशल मीडिया का प्रबंधन करती है। बॉम्बे हाई कोर्ट ने पहले वीडियो को बहाल करने का आदेश दिया था। मुंबई बीजेपी प्रमुख अमित सातम् ने जोर देकर कहा कि आपत्तियां धर्म पर आधारित नहीं थीं, बल्कि 'राष्ट्र-विरोधी तत्वों' के साथ जुड़ाव पर आधारित थीं।
