Ninety-year-old former paratrooper Ian Winship has achieved a world-best time for his age group, completing a 10-kilometre race in approximately 1 hour, 4 minutes, and 37 seconds. The Cumbernauld 10K run on September 13 saw Winship, from North Lanarkshire, race alongside his daughter and grandson. While considered a 'world best' by Scottish Athletics due to non-professional race conditions, no older runner has reportedly achieved a faster time.
