Sri Lanka Convicts 15 Over 2019 Easter Bombings

Fifteen men have been convicted by a High Court in Colombo for their roles in the 2019 Easter Sunday bombings, which killed 279 people and injured over 500. The attacks targeted churches and hotels across Sri Lanka. The convicted individuals received lengthy prison sentences ranging from 200 to 260 years for conspiracy and aiding the terrorist acts. Nine others were acquitted, and one died during the trial.

कोलंबो की हाई कोर्ट ने 2019 ईस्टर संडे बम धमाकों के मामले में 15 लोगों को दोषी करार दिया है। इन हमलों में 279 लोग मारे गए थे और 500 से ज़्यादा घायल हुए थे। ये हमले श्रीलंका के चर्चों और होटलों को निशाना बनाकर किए गए थे। दोषी पाए गए लोगों को साजिश रचने और आतंकी हमलों में मदद करने के आरोप में 200 से 260 साल तक की लंबी जेल की सज़ा सुनाई गई है।
