Grandfather Dies After Grandson Stabs Him While Protecting Sister

A 65-year-old man in Kerala's Palakkad district has died after being stabbed by his 16-year-old grandson. The incident occurred on October 19 when the grandson allegedly attempted to attack his 10-year-old sister following an argument. The grandfather intervened to protect his granddaughter and sustained stab injuries to his chest, neck, and abdomen. He was initially hospitalized but succumbed to his injuries late Friday night. The girl has recovered, and the grandson has been apprehended and sent to a juvenile home.
