A police constable in Kurnool, Ranga Swamy, demonstrated exceptional humanity by retrieving the body of an unidentified woman from the Tungabhadra river. The incident occurred in the Mantralayam region where the body was found in treacherous waters surrounded by sharp rocks. Despite the hazardous conditions that deterred others, Swamy ventured into the river, recovered the body, and carried it for nearly a kilometre over a rocky path to the riverbank. Visuals of his courageous act, showcasing his dedication beyond duty, subsequently went viral on social media.
