Vikramshila Setu Closure: Bhagalpur Administration Arranges Waterway Services For Passengers & Cargo

The Bhagalpur district administration is establishing alternative waterway services to ensure passenger and cargo movement across the Ganga as the Vikramshila Setu road traffic closes from midnight Wednesday. Ferry services for passengers will operate from Biada Ghat, while cargo will be handled from Babupur Ghat. The bridge will be closed for dismantling and repairing the Bailey bridge and the main structure. Police personnel, magistrates, and 'Jeevika Didi kitchens' will be deployed at the ghats for law and order and passenger convenience.
