Shubman Gill is set to return to action for Punjab in the 2026-27 Ranji Trophy season, playing their second-round match against Chhattisgarh starting October 18. He had missed Punjab's opening game against Assam. Gill recently achieved a significant milestone, being named ICC Men's Player of the Month for a record fifth time following his exceptional ODI performances against the West Indies. His return to domestic cricket comes as the BCCI is expected to announce India's ODI squad for the New Zealand tour within the next few days.

ICC Men's Player of the Month
