TMC MP Urges EC Over Voter List Deletions

A TMC Rajya Sabha MP has urged the Election Commission to expedite the redressal of voter grievances concerning deleted names. Thousands of voters in Rejinagar and Nandigram await decisions on their appeals, risking disenfranchisement in upcoming bypolls. The MP highlighted that many were already denied voting rights in April. He requested the EC to assess disposal times and approach the Supreme Court if procedural modifications are needed to ensure universal adult suffrage.

टीएमसी के एक राज्यसभा सांसद ने चुनाव आयोग से वोटरों के नाम हटाए जाने से जुड़ी शिकायतों के जल्द निपटारे की गुहार लगाई है। रेजिनगर और नंदीग्राम में हज़ारों वोटर अपनी अपील पर फैसले का इंतज़ार कर रहे हैं, जिससे आगामी उपचुनावों में उनके वोट देने के अधिकार पर खतरा मंडरा रहा है। सांसद ने बताया कि अप्रैल में भी कई लोगों को वोट देने से रोका गया था।
