China Firm Briefly Restored Iran's Toll Collection Access

A Chinese internet security firm, TrustAsia, briefly restored online access for Iran's sanctioned Persian Gulf Straits Authority (PGSA). This allowed Tehran to vet vessels and collect tolls in the Strait of Hormuz for four days before revoking credentials. The PGSA's website had been inaccessible since May 27 due to U.S. sanctions. U.S. experts urged TrustAsia to review compliance, warning of potential exploitation of insecure connections. The PGSA confirmed the issue was resolved.
