Israel Bars Pilots, Crew From Nations Without Diplomatic Ties

Times of India - India · india

Israel's Aviation Security Operations Centre has reportedly issued new directives barring pilots and cabin crew from nations lacking official diplomatic ties with Israel from flying into its airspace. This rule applies to individuals holding the nationality or dual nationality of over two dozen countries, including Pakistan, Iran, and Saudi Arabia. The restrictions were implemented following a hijacking attempt on a flight from the UAE to Israel last month. Airlines like Air France and United Airlines have begun adjusting crew assignments in response to the new policy.
