Kozhikode District to Form Communal Harmony Committees in Grama Panchayats

Kozhikode District Collector M.S. Madhavikutty has ordered the formation of communal harmony committees in all grama panchayats to foster peace at the grassroots level. These committees will be chaired by the local Station House Officer (SHO) and convened by the grama panchayat secretary. Local leaders, elected representatives, and government officials will also be included. The committees will meet monthly to monitor the local situation and proactively identify potential issues, implementing pre-emptive measures to preserve regional peace. Their primary mandate is to prevent law-and-order problems and communal friction.

कोझिकोड जिला कलेक्टर एम.एस. माधवीकुट्टी ने जमीनी स्तर पर शांति को बढ़ावा देने के लिए सभी ग्राम पंचायतों में सांप्रदायिक सद्भाव समितियों के गठन का आदेश दिया है। इन समितियों की अध्यक्षता स्थानीय स्टेशन हाउस ऑफिसर (SHO) करेंगे और ग्राम पंचायत सचिव इन्हें बुलाएंगे। स्थानीय नेताओं, निर्वाचित प्रतिनिधियों और सरकारी अधिकारियों को भी शामिल किया जाएगा। ये समितियां स्थानीय स्थिति की निगरानी करने और क्षेत्रीय शांति बनाए रखने के लिए निवारक उपाय लागू करने के लिए संभावित मुद्दों की सक्रिय रूप से पहचान करने के लिए मासिक रूप से मिलेंगी। उनका प्राथमिक जनादेश कानून-व्यवस्था की समस्याओं और सांप्रदायिक घर्षण को रोकना है।
