YouTuber Dhruv Rathee Detained by Police Before Joining CJP Protest

YouTuber Dhruv Rathee was detained from his Gurgaon home on Saturday morning by around 30 plainclothes policemen. He was planning to join a Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protest in Delhi demanding the resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner. Police stated that prohibitory orders were in force and the demonstration lacked permission. Rathee was warned against attending the unauthorized protest but refused to heed the warnings. He was taken to the crime branch office and remained in detention for preventive reasons.

यूट्यूबर ध्रुव राठी को शनिवार सुबह उनके गुड़गांव स्थित घर से लगभग 30 वर्दीरहित पुलिसकर्मियों ने हिरासत में ले लिया। वह दिल्ली में कॉकरोच जनता पार्टी (CJP) के एक विरोध प्रदर्शन में शामिल होने की योजना बना रहे थे, जिसमें मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त के इस्तीफे की मांग की गई थी। पुलिस ने कहा कि निषेधाज्ञा लागू थी और प्रदर्शन की अनुमति नहीं थी। राठी को अनधिकृत विरोध प्रदर्शन में भाग लेने के खिलाफ चेतावनी दी गई थी, लेकिन उन्होंने चेतावनियों पर ध्यान नहीं दिया। उन्हें अपराध शाखा कार्यालय ले जाया गया और निवारक कारणों से हिरासत में रखा गया।
