Ahmedabad Firm Recovers Rs 2.9 Crore From Scam

An Ahmedabad-based pharmaceutical company employee was duped into transferring Rs 3 crore by a fraudster impersonating his director on WhatsApp. The employee realised the mistake after the transfer and immediately alerted the company. Swift action by the company led to a cybercrime complaint, and police successfully froze Rs 2.9 crore within 30 minutes. The fraudsters managed to withdraw only Rs 6 lakh before funds were recovered.

अहमदाबाद की एक दवा कंपनी के कर्मचारी से उसके डायरेक्टर बनकर WhatsApp पर ठगी हुई। धोखेबाज़ ने उसे 3 करोड़ रुपये ट्रांसफर करने को कहा। पैसे भेजने के बाद कर्मचारी को गलती का एहसास हुआ और उसने तुरंत कंपनी को बताया। कंपनी ने तुरंत साइबर क्राइम में शिकायत दर्ज कराई। पुलिस ने 30 मिनट के अंदर 2.9 करोड़ रुपये फ्रीज कर दिए। ठग केवल 6 लाख रुपये निकाल पाए थे।
