Delhi-NCR AQI Crosses 400, Doctors Warn of Health Risks

Aaj Tak · health

AQI in several parts of Delhi-NCR has surpassed 400, indicating severely polluted air. This poses health risks not only to individuals with pre-existing respiratory conditions like asthma but also to healthy people. Fine particulate matter, especially PM2.5, can enter the lungs, causing inflammation and irritation. Symptoms can include persistent cough, sore throat, eye irritation, headache, and shortness of breath, even appearing within hours of exposure.
